Crystal Grids: How-to and Why

grid-banner

We all know and love the power we feel when we hold a crystal that resonates deeply with us. It’s like holding an old friend- we know it has our highest good in mind, and is working with us at all times. The uses of crystals for certain things that we need in that moment can feel refreshing and comforting, all wrapped into one little stone. When you put two stones together to amplify the vibrations for one specific purpose, it’s even more potent. When you lay crystals out on a grid, you have a whole network of crystals working and vibrating together. But, there’s more to it than that.

Crystal Grids: How do they work?

Well, let’s start with what is a crystal grid, anyway?  According to Crystal Vaults, “A crystal grid is a predefined set of multiple crystals arranged in a harmonic sacred geometric relationship.  This combination and arrangement of crystals works synergistic to converts Processed with VSCO with c1 presetand focuses the external energy which impinges upon it in a variety of forms (e.g. sound, light, electromagnetism) into a unified energy field tuned to a particular need or requirement.  The unified energy field that is created allows for vibrational interactions of crystal energies with the aura, spirit, and mind of the human body consistent with the prescribed healing and wellness design. ” Or, for a simplified answer: “A crystal grid is an arrangement of crystals on a specific geometric shape that focuses the Universal Life Force in a particular way for a particular purpose.”

Crystal grids only look complicated, but in fact are incredibly easy to use. Starting from the very center of the grid, we place our Focus stone. This is the main stone of the grid, and one you want to choose carefully. Let’s say you’re making a grid to enhance your love life. Likely, you would want to place a rose quartz in the middle as the focus stone, which allows love to flow to and from you, and open your heart chakra. This stone will gather and focus the energy into a single point- and in this case, the point is to enhance your love life.

Processed with VSCO with c1 presetThe stones directly outside of the focus stone are called the Way Stones. The way stones control the flow of energy from the focus stone. They can either amplify or moderate the flow of energy from the focus stone. In our example of enhancing the love life, we could add rhodonite. Rhodonite allows for past emotional healing, balances the emotions, and eliminate feelings of jealousy or hurt.

Next, outside of the way stones we have the Desire Stones. The desire stones represent the end path, the result we would like to achieve from our grid. In our love grid, adding Jade as the desire stone would be a wonderful choice. Jade is known to promote new love, enhance the charm of the user, and enhance and attract trust within a relationship. These are the desires of the heart- trust, comfort, and love.

The Path are the lines and designs of the grid- made in the designs of sacred geometry. These lines allow the energy from the focus stone to transfer down to the way and desire stones and to be amplified. “The Path is the energy conduit that draws on Sacred Geometry to align, transmit, and guide our energy to achieve our desires. The Path is the flow of energy in a particular grid design.”

A friend and fellow Instagrammer, @dammit_carol30, recently sent me a custom made moon-phase grid that couldn’t be more perfect, and I need to share it with you all! Made from hand carved wood,  Amy carefully and beautifully burnt the moon phases and sacred geometry grid, with rough wood edging, allowing you to connect with the power of nature while focusing your intent. I could not have asked for a more perfect grid! I recently set up stones to facilitate healing as I have come down with the flu- and put my new, perfect, image2.jpegSuper Seven stone as the focus stone. Amy is up and coming with her crystal grid making hobby, and she would love to extend it to all of you. She is now taking custom orders through her Instagram, and PayPal, and can be contacted at amyribeiro87@gmail.com for all orders and design questions. You can order crystal grids anywhere, but having one made from someone who puts loving intent into each custom piece, made right from the nature in the backyard, is so much more special than ordering one from Amazon- and with the added bonus of shopping small, and helping out a small business owner like Amy.

The Concept of Hygge

This is a word that has been trending around social media, and let me be the first to say, I don’t particularly pay much attention to what is trending and why. About a year ago, I was quite intrigued when I first saw the word hygge, mainly because I asked myself “How on earth do I say that?” (the answer is HUE-GUH). Accompanied with the article where I first saw the word, were Christmas stockings, a fireplace with a crackling fire, and a warm cup of hot cocoa. This warm coziness caught my attention, and hooked me into the reading the article. After that, all I could do was research more and more about hygge, as this is the key to why the Danish people are the happiest people in the world. And if they know the key, I want a part of it. Get Skin Like a Goddess

Skin care feels like the bane of my existence most of the time. I had decent skin until I hit my 20’s, and then I began to deal with adult acne. Which, seems so unfair because at that point, after the teen years, you feel like you’re in the clear, and then one day: BOOM! Now you have acne to deal with. Bah! I’ll be the first to admit, though, that I continuously slept in my make-up, despite my mother’s warnings, until I was 25. That’s when I decided I should really focus on my skin care and actually get this under control. I went a little crazy- Sephora became my new best friend and worst enemy (as in, I tried nearly every product in the store and most would agitate my skin even more.) Spiritual Baths

Like many people, you probably enjoy taking a nice, luxurious, warm bath at the end of the evening. I know that I do! In fact, it’s one of my favorite daily activities, and if it doesn’t happen at least once a day, something feels off. But, how much thought and effort are you putting into these baths? Maybe you’re like me, and don’t add much effort at all. I  run my bath to the desired temperature, hop it, sit around for 15 minutes playing on my phone, hop out and that’s a wrap. So, what’s the point? Well, have you ever had a spiritual bath? Continue reading “Spiritual Baths”

Muladhara: The Root Chakra

Root-Chakra-Blog.jpg

The chakras are spinning sources of energy consciousness within the body, located at places in the body that correspond with several central nerve bundles that branch out from the spinal cord. The word “chakra” means “wheel” in Sanskrit, and the chakras spin like wheels, some spinning fast and some slow. The chakras all correspondence with a different vibrant color, and each correspond with a different energetic function. When these chakras are in balance, the body, both physically and energetically, are in balance. When these chakras become out of balance, there are tell-tale signs that manifest both in our energetic body that build until they seep out into the physical body.
