Colin Adrian Glass
“Colin Adrian is an American born artist born in Southern California in 1976. In 1999 he moved to Brooklyn, New York. Throughout his life he has been interested in many facets of art, primarily oil painting. He discovered his love for stained glass while visiting the Marc Chagall windows in Nice, France. His stained glass pieces are typically bright and alive with color that will pleasantly illuminate any room or environment in which they are placed. His feather series is inspired by his upbringing in Southern California and his love for the outdoors. Each feather style is representative of a particular bird and special time in his life, his early youth.”
Colin generously sent me one of his stained glass feathers in two of my favorite colors, aqua and pink. Being such an admirer of stained glass, I was enthralled to have a piece as beautiful as this, in one of my favorite shapes- a whimsical feather! You can really feel the love that goes into Colin’s artwork, and can appreciate the time that it must take to make such a piece. The feather is tied to a cord, where you can hang it anywhere- for me, I hung it on the mirror of my car so I can see it anytime I am driving. It fills me with joy and a sense of peace when I see it, truly! Not to mention, I had someone in a parking lot ask me where to find one!
“Moon Malas came to me at the begining of my spiritual reawakening. They came to me as a way create and spread beauty. I have always loved to create things, be inspired by my surroundings, and spread my love through art. However making Malas was a different form of expression. Each one has activated my soul on a deeper level. No longer is making Malas a hobby: making them has become a calling.
I have been draw to the mystical and healing properties of crystals my entire life. With the creation of each piece I activate something inside myself that allowed me to go deeper into who I am. Ever single one is so very different and has an entirely new lesson in it. For me the lessons in the beads truly transformed my life. These Malas are my personal way to share my gift and help the wearer find their own inner beauty and raise their vibration.
Each Mala is hand crafted by myself with love and intention. I let all of my beads absorb the energy and magick of the full moon and each piece is cleansed with white sage and rose water. May you find the Moon Mala that you need on your life’s path right now.”
Moon Malas kindly sent me a custom mala made of sunstone & jasper in warm colors of oranges, pinks and greens. At the end is a beautiful pink tassel and a larger stone. Honesty time: I have had plenty of Malas in the past, being a yoga teacher. I cannot say honestly enough that this one is the most beautiful & lovingly crafted Mala I have ever owned. It is truly a work of art, and I adore using it in my meditations and chanting. I proudly hang it up in my room, never hiding it or storing it away. Check out Moon Malas and find a Mala that calls to you. Chanting while passing the cool & peaceful stones through your fingers makes such a difference to any yoga or meditation practice.
“We care so much about what we put in and on our bodies, but when it comes to vitamins, we still rely on blind faith. Too often, companies make their process and formulations intentionally confusing to keep their customers from knowing what’s really going on. We’re proud of the product we’ve put together with no unnecessary ingredients and with nutrients in their best forms. So go ahead and look under the hood—we want you to.”
Ritual was created by a woman named Kat, who while pregnant, needed to revamp her life & health. Not wanting to rely on other vitamins with unnecessary and potentially harmful ingredients, Kat decided to create her own. Made with 9 ingredients, comprising of vitamins that woman often lack- Vitamin K2, Vitamin D3, Vitamin B12, Boron, Iron, Vitamin E, Magnesium, Folate and Omega 3. All have been sourced and are completely vegan. Ritual sent me a bottle and I can honestly say that I am hooked. I appreciate the minty flavor that comes along with the vitamin, instead of that yucky fish taste we all know from regular vitamins. I love that it provides me energy and I can also say, truly, my skin was brighter and I glowed from the inside out.
“Yoga instructor, holistic nutrition specialist, and nature lover. I began creating jewelry in high school and my love of working with stones and metal continued into college. After a stint in the corporate world I am following my true passions, creating jewelry and working in the healing arts. I am continuing my education in both fields and look forward to continuing to expand what I have to offer.I find inspiration every day in the beauty I see all around me in the great state of Arizona and beyond. My love of nature inspires me to work with natural crystals and stones, and I believe that we can benefit from power found within them.I am often asked about the name of my shop- Rye is actually my middle name! I always knew that I wanted to incorporate it into the name of any business I created.”
Jamie, the owner and creator of Rye Jewelry, and I attend the same school together. When I found out she had a jewelry shop I was excited to collaborate with her! She kindly sent me few of her new pieces: A necklace, earrings, and a beautiful lava bead diffuser bracelet. The first thing I noticed was the clean and attractive packaging ( I am a sucker for packaging!), but opening the package was the real treat. Her jewelry is so well constructed, and the love of her work comes through. All other pieces are simple & clean in the best way possible, a nice accent to any outfit and offers the powers of the stones she incorporates. Bunnies and Zen
“I found some solace in Yoga. My mat was a place I could re-ground myself and find a place of calm and safety in the midst of the turmoil, and I am sure many of you who are reading this will relate to what I am saying. On a positive note, these life-changing experiences helped me to see the bigger picture and – forgive the cliché – to realise that life IS too short not to pursue your dreams and be happy. It prompted me to follow my heart and set up my own business that I could run from home. I had previously worked in the fashion industry; I loved my job, loved my colleagues, and loved the parties, but the time felt right to move on. It was a natural choice to combine my passion for Yoga with my love of design and create, well, Yoga products! And so, Bunnies & Zen was born.”
Bunnies and Zen is a yoga accessory company with adorableness everywhere. They make mats, towels, and candles: everything you need to take you away into a peaceful & tranquil shavanasa, or through your sweaty yoga practice. Bunnies and Zen kindly sent me one of their yoga towels. Upon receiving it, I fell in love with he ADORABLE bunny on the towel! Okay, I am a sucker for bunnies, but still! Upon using the mat for the first time in a class, I was really pleased with how well it stayed on the mat: there was no slipping and sliding that you sometimes find using a yoga towel. I really enjoy using it with any practice I am doing, whether its sweaty power yoga or a nice yin. It had a soft feel under the feet and it keeps me stable; so, really, what else can you ask for? Bunnies, softness and stability is all you need.
