Happy Saturday everyone! I have been so excited to share this post with all of you. For those who know me personally, if I am not wearing yoga clothing, I am wearing dresses. Living in the heat of Arizona, it only makes sense to wear light, cotton clothing. Dresses make that even easier by not suffocating my body in something tight, but rather flowing freely and making me feel not only cooler, but also very feminine. Have you ever worn jeans in the 118 degree heat? Warning: don’t try this at home!
I was introduced to Synergy clothing while I was away on my 3rd anniversary trip with my husband. We were in Sedona, Arizona in an adorable little complex full of metaphysical stores. I walked into this gorgeous crystal store that was booming with feminine energy. As I was lost in my own world full of beautiful gemstones, my (most likely very bored) husband was walking around doing what husbands do while their wives are shopping- trying to waste time and not go insane. He happened upon this gorgeous crystal shelf he wanted to show me, so he found me and lead me in the direction of the shelf. On my way there, I was stopped by this gorgeous grey dress (later to find the name is the Infinity Dress). It was so gorgeous, so well constructed, I fell in love with it. I knew at the moment, we couldn’t afford to spend money, but my husband snuck in his notes the name of the company: Synergy clothing, for future gift reference.
I’ve made contact with the company after doing some research, and I knew it would be my go to for future clothing purchases. Ladies, raise of hands: How many times do you go to the mall, purchase a shirt from say…uh….Florbeverr 22, it’s adorable and all but it’s so thin and it falls apart after one wash? Yeah, count that as most of my wardrobe. After researching more about Synergy, I found that they use certified organic cotton in their clothing, which as a health nut, this was my first reason for falling in love- beyond the obvious adorableness of the items! Using organic cotton lessens the harmful impact on the environment than conventionally grown cotton, making it a wise choice to invest in. This means it’s grown without harmful toxins and without GMO seeds. Thats something I find VERY important. On top of that, the clothing is constructed in Nepal, enabling workers in the countries to make good wages and to be treated fairly. How’s that for supporting the wild feminine- beyond our borders! When you buy from Synergy you are helping to give back to others, making an impact of the lives of families in Nepal and India.
Let’s talk about looks and quality. I was shocked (in a good way!) by the construction of the dress and the quality in which it was made. You can tell a lot of love is put into their items, trickling down from the owner of the company, all the way to the seamstresses in India. There is a lot of care put into their clothing- and you can tell by the weight of the dress and by looking into the stitch work. Not only is it adorable, it will last a long time, wash after wash. It’s one of those items you invest in and know that you can wear it for years to come. And you will wear it for years to come- because the styles of the clothes are classic shapes and colors, making them last through the ins and outs of fashions trends. What lady doesn’t need a basic, but well made, well fitting dress? I want to fill my closet with just that.
Oh and ladies….one word: pockets.
Love and Light.
